Garden of Peace, Llanrwst, Conwy, North Wales
The Garden of Peace at Maes y Bryn campsite, Llanrwst, Conwy in North Wales is aptly named as many a visitor to the site has reported receiving a sense of calmness and well being, after having spent time in the Garden.
Enclosed in one corner of the Garden is the now famous Labyrinth which has seen many a weary person walk into its centre and feel rejuvenated when they leave.
A Labyrinth is different to a maze in that a Labyrinth only has one way in and you have to return the same way out so you cannot get lost!
A maze on the other hand has many paths that lead nowhere.
The Labyrinth has three stones in the centre and they are in line with Stonehenge and with the reflecting solar light at night look truly majestic.
It is said that the Labyrinth represents the path of Life and that it is a walk into the heart which is the centre and having sat in silence for a little while, many have claimed the power of the Labyrinth has given them clarity of mind and a sense of purpose.
The heart of the Garden is a beautiful circle of flowers and light, protected by a beautiful 'Angel of the Birds'.
