Maes y Bryn campsite is keen to raise awareness of nature, wildlife and the environment.
They are members of the Wales Wildlife Trust and proudly promote the organisation because of the tremendous work they carry out.
There is a great deal to do and see especially for the younger members of the family.
As you stroll around the campsite you will see the 'Hedgehog House' on the far side of the river bank.
Keep on walking and you will see the 'Bug Hotel'. See how many crawly friends you can see.
Then stumble across 'Bird Watch'. Watch the birds feed and then try to identify as many birds as you can.
Finally take a few minutes to visit 'Meerkat Manor'. Although not real, chuckle at the uniforms they are dressed in and you will know why they have a special area at the campsite.
Why not pick up an unique 'spotter sheet' from reception. This can be tailored to suit your interests whether that be trees, butterflies, insects, birds or flowers.
There are loads of leaflets about nature and wildlife at reception to make your stay more enjoyable. Have a go at building a 'hedgehog house' or a 'bug hotel'.
Maes y Bryn is more than a campsite it is a living experience!
